What do these notes explain, and what do they leave undecided?

These notes explain how published sources say a USB temperature file is started, timed, exported and checked. Each page keeps one distinction: interval against battery life, a clock string against a rewritten timezone, an ice-point reading against a certificate, and a gap against a straight line. They do not decide whether food, a journey or a medicine store was acceptable. This publication has not published original logger exports.

Start, stop and delay are not automatic

A published RC-5 test required a long Play press, allowed a delayed start, and stopped when memory was full. Plugging in USB did not start the record.

Read the timestamp as it was written

Published guidance asks for timezone and daylight-saving time to be stated. A CSV time string copied from the PC is not a corrected British Summer Time series.

Only describe columns that have been seen

Xanthium published a four-analogue CSV header. The 2018 RC-5 test listed Excel, PDF, Word and TXT. Unseen Elitech columns stay unnamed.

An ice-point reading is a field check

High Speed Training and SFBB treat ice slurry as a probe check. That window is not a UKAS certificate and it is not an EN 12830 type test.

Published cold-chain and kitchen notes keep air, buffered and product points apart. A 30-second door opening is not, by itself, out-of-range food or medicine.

A straight line is not a continuous record

GuideGxP forbids drawing missing samples as continuity. The 2018 RC-5 test stopped at a full memory instead of overwriting.

Why do food, transport and medicines stay on separate pages?

Food diaries, a published United States strawberry study and medicines-store mapping stay on their own pages because they answer different questions from a USB file note. Those pages link official documents and attribute the external files. They do not turn a kitchen sheet, a journey curve or a warehouse map into a result from this site. This publication has not published original logger exports.
